Prof. Shadmand gives invited talk on control resilience and cybersecurity of power electronics in ECCE 2021

Invited talk

Prof. Shadmand will give an invited talk on control resilience and cybersecurity of power electronics in ECCE 2021 on October 13th, 2021. The existence of numerous smart devices in power electronics dominated grids (PEDG), provides an immense attack surface for attackers to target and compromise the system. Prof. Shadmand will present the developed event-triggered control schemes and intrusion detection systems by the IPEG research laboratory in “Cybersecurity for Power Electronics” special session in ECCE 2021. The impact of PEDG cybersecurity vulnerabilities due to malicious reference setpoint command, denial of service, control manipulation, noise, etc on the coordination, synchronization, and voltage/frequency stability will be discussed.
